Merit Energy Company is a private firm specializing in direct investments in mature oil and gas assets. Merit acquires, operates and develops producing oil and gas properties on behalf of reinvestment oriented limited partnerships. Throughout our twenty year history our goal has remained the same: to provide attractive returns to our investors through cost effective management of low-risk energy investments, while emphasizing preservation of capital. By placing a premium on control of physical operations, Merit is able to capitalize on our engineering and geologic expertise to increase production, control costs and become a higher-margin producer.

Merit currently has in excess of $4.0 billion in committed equity capital under management and approximately $4.6 billion in total assets. Merit employs more than 650 employees with operations in eleven states, the Gulf of Mexico and Canada with net operated production of in excess of 84,865 barrels of oil equivalent per day and proved reserves of 453 MMBOE.
